After a 15 year custody battle, I had to hire a new lawyer when my became a judge. It was a nightmare, no matter how much evidence the courts saw my kids were in danger, they always gave him his rights back. After only TWO appearances from Randy of my behalf, we had a final protection order for 5 years until our children aged out. We he made initial appearance the court clerk said "Oh! Randy is your lawyer? You are going to do just fine, honey". Several attorneys then stopped him in the halls for opinions and advice on their own cases. Not only is he the best, but he genuinely cares about his people. So sad to see him retire.
