0 stars if I could. This was one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve ever had with a law firm. For months, Premier Legal Center gave me every indication that my case was moving forward. I was told an engineer had reviewed my documents, a demand package had been prepared and served on Toyota, and the firm was evaluating litigation, arbitration, and every available legal avenue. I was even told they would not settle for anything less than adequate compensation for my damages and inconvenience. Then, completely out of nowhere, I received a generic dismissal letter saying they were no longer representing me. Toyota had not even responded to the demand package, yet the firm abruptly walked away from my case without offering a single case-specific explanation. Imagine spending months believing your attorneys are fighting for you, only to be blindsided by a form letter that tells you to go find another lawyer. No phone call. No explanation. No transparency. Just “we’re done.” Now I have to start over with a new law firm because Premier Legal Center chose to drop my case after investing months of my time. Their communication throughout the process made it seem like my case was progressing, only for them to reverse course without any meaningful explanation. If this is how they treat clients after telling them their case is moving toward litigation, I cannot recommend trusting them with your claim. Clients deserve honesty, transparency, and respect—not optimistic updates followed by a sudden dismissal with no explanation. UPDATE — Response to the firm: Your response entirely mischaracterizes my complaint. This was never about my case simply “not proceeding the way I had hoped.” My disappointment is with your firm’s handling of my representation and the expectations your own reassurances created. Despite repeatedly pressing for an explanation, I was given inconsistent reasons for the withdrawal. Marchbanks confusedly claimed my vehicle was not CPO, when it is Toyota Gold Certified—Toyota’s CPO program. I was also told a class action involving the make/model was a factor, and separately that my attorney was getting older and slowing down his career. This directly contradicted the last reassurance I received: that if Toyota denied the buyback, the firm would pursue litigation and would not settle for less than a satisfactory resolution. Instead, after the buyback was denied, you withdrew before litigation. Your claim that withdrawal protects a client’s ability to find new counsel also does not reflect my experience. Because your firm had already served the initial demand, multiple firms I contacted afterward raised the prior representation/demand as an obstacle to taking my case. Attorney-client privilege may prevent you from discussing confidential details publicly, but it does not explain the contradictory explanations given directly to me. My expectations were based on your firm’s own reassurances and promises that were not kept. Calling this disappointment because my case “did not proceed the way I had hoped” is dismissive and avoids the actual substance of my review.
