I wish to thank the Premier Law Group team for their attention, dedication, and professionalism in handling my case. I had a very disappointing experience with Kristi Marino the attorney assigned to represent me and would not recommend her based on my experience. I hired her to represent me in a very serious and important arbitration matter. Unfortunately, I did not feel that my case was adequately represented. I provided overhwelming evidence that I believed was important to my claim, but some of the evidence was not presented or effectively argued. I also felt that important issues were overlooked rather than thoroughly addressed. I was also concerned by the attorney’s level of professionalism and presentation during the arbitration and deposition. On those occasions she wore very casual attire, while the opposing party and their representatives were dressed professionally in suits. I had made a deliberate effort to dress appropriately because I understood these proceedings to be serious and court-related. Seeing my own attorney appear so casually was embarrassing and, in my view, created an appearance that the matter was not being taken with the level of seriousness and professionalism that I expected. I was concerned that this presentation reflected poorly on me and undermined my confidence in the way my case was being represented. One of my biggest concerns was that a medical specialist was not retained to support my case. Given the nature of my injuries and the medical issues involved, I believe qualified medical expert testimony was extremely important. I raised the importance of the medical evidence, but a medical specialist was not hired. In my view, this significantly weakened my ability to establish the medical aspects of my claim and substantially hurt the presentation of my case. There were also significant problems with the handling of my case by the paralegal Imani Pugh. My conviction dates were entered incorrectly, and evidence that I had provided was left out. These were not minor issues to me, because the convictions being discussed were more than 10 years old and the dates were relevant to the context of my case. I was also extremely concerned by statements made by my attorney about things we had allegedly discussed. There were instances where statements were attributed to our conversations that, to my recollection, were not accurate. This was particularly troubling because those statements affected how my position and the evidence were presented. I felt that the inaccurate characterization of our discussions made it more difficult for my actual position to be understood and ultimately hurt the presentation of my case. What was particularly upsetting was that I felt my prior convictions were being viewed negatively rather than being presented accurately and in their proper context. I cannot say what motivated these decisions, but based on my experience, I was left with the impression that there may have been a bias related to my convictions. I expected my legal team to present the facts accurately and objectively, especially when dealing with events that occurred more than a decade ago. I repeatedly raised concerns about evidence, documentation, medical support, and the presentation of my case. Despite doing so, I ultimately did not feel that I received the level of advocacy, attention to detail, preparation, or communication that I expected after entrusting an attorney with such an important matter. I understand that no attorney can guarantee a particular outcome. However, I believe a client should be able to expect accurate documentation, careful handling of evidence, appropriate expert support when necessary, honest and accurate communication about what was discussed, thorough preparation, and strong advocacy. This experience was extremely stressful and had significant personal and financial consequences for me. I am sharing my experience so that prospective clients can do their own research and make an informed decision before hiring this attorney.
