I retained Craig Poff in a child support matter in the spring of 2024. Complete waste of money. Poff was unprepared, unprofessional, and doesn’t know the law. Some of his failings: 1) couldn’t figure out my support amount until the day before the hearing, and then miscalculated it by over $300/month, 2) never returned emails or phone calls, 3) he and his secretary both lie, 4) canceled an appointment because it was RAINING, 5) he was so unprepared that he asked me to print out court papers the day before the hearing, 6) never told me SC charges a 5% per month service fee, 7) got completely handled by my ex at the hearing, and 8) refused to refund any of the fee I paid, despite providing absolutely nothing of value. Once he gets his retainer fee you will never hear from him. He won't work on your file and he won't fight for you. An online search also appears to show that Poff's law license was suspended twice by South Carolina (2005 and 2011) for multiple acts of professional misconduct. Avoid Poff and his weird little office if you want a competent attorney.

I hired this law office to handle a difficult family court matter and my experience started out good but after the first court date I've been feeling like he has been working with the other party. Just totally disappointed with everything.
