If I could leave a negative review for Jon Pels' response to my original review, I would. Mr. Pels flagged my review as spam and stated, "This is clearly a spam review given the fake name which Google does not approve of and will work to remove." My review was not spam. I chose not to use my real name for privacy reasons, and that does not make my experience any less genuine. Many people prefer to limit the personal information they share publicly. What I find inconsistent is that there are numerous positive reviews using partial names, initials, or otherwise limited identifying information, yet those reviews are not publicly challenged in the same way. It appears my review was dismissed based on the identity I chose to display rather than the substance of what I wrote. I believe businesses should address the concerns raised in reviews instead of attempting to discredit reviewers based on their display name.
