We hired Denise Rekem for an education law matter before the South Orange Maplewood School District. She went to bat for our kid who had been identified as having special needs, but who was getting no meaningful services. His IEPs were virtually blank. The School District made it nearly impossible for us to deal with them to address his issues until Ms. Rekem stepped in. She advocated forcefully and and got services for him that we never could have gotten on our own. I can't thank Denise enough for her powerful advocacy.

Their recommendations were used by Lisa and Denise to convince our school district to make the appropriate placement for our son and to obtain home support for him and our family.

When they came into our lives, they gave us hope, inspiration, and brought positive changes to our son and family. They fought for us and did not settle for anything less than what our child and family were entitled to. As soon as they became involved with our family, the district staff and personnel changed their attitudes completely. Our son is doing well in his new school and at home and our entire family dynamic has changed for the better.
