I worked with Susan Huhta and her team, which included Shira Gelfand, for almost a year. I enjoyed both of them and I learned so much from them that, now that the case was successfully resolved, I actually truly miss them. As ironic as it sounds, I do not miss my case, but I do miss my team and part of me wishes I could still have them both around. The level of knowledge and professionalism they both demonstrated gave me the confidence and the peace of mind that my matters are in the right hands. Susan Huhta has decades of experience and is always two steps ahead of everyone - both myself and the defendants - and is able to predict the twists and turns of the case every step of the way. Susan is sharp, eloquent, sophisticated (to a point of intimidation), yet approachable. A rare combination. That is exactly what stroke me about her when I was choosing my lawyer. All lawyers I spoke with over the years wanted to take the case, it was a clear misconduct years in the making; yet the speed with which Susan caught on, grasped the issues, and defined their depth and causality, was unparalleled. She was extremely organized and talked me through what to expect every time there was a change or a move on my case. She kept to her principles, her promises, and her words, both to me and to the representatives of the defendants. This is also rare in today’s world. Even when the defendants resorted to using dubious tactics based on false evidence and their style became unprofessional, Susan kept to the facts, kept the opposing side accountable and stayed professional in both her verbal and written expression. The letters Susan and Shira wrote were based on deep research and were pulling evidence from the most relevant cases. They were impressive. Perhaps, the most important nuance about our working relationship with Susan is the fact that, in retrospect, I now realize that in her decisions – from drafting the retention letter the way she did to closing the case the way we did– she was taking in consideration everything she knew about me. I believe that, even better than myself, she knew the best outcome for me relative to everything else currently in my life – my career, my family, my age, my mindset, and my potential. She took all of it into consideration when working on my case and combined it with her intuition built upon numerous similar cases she has worked on before. While I was stuck on the details, she was looking at the big picture, and to the future. She also took into consideration my personality. Even in the moments when we had disagreements, I knew she was the right one to manage me. If there was anyone who could 'adjust' my expectations, that was Susan. She balanced me well – both when my expectations were too high and when they were too low. She is straightforward and says it like it is, which is what I need. I have tremendous respect for Susan, and for Shira. I am very happy with the outcome of the case, and that it is over. I would not have been able to go through the ups and downs the same way I did without the two of them. They prepared me for everything, because Susan has seen it all. I hope that no one ever has to deal with a case like mine, but if they do, Susan and Shira are the right team. Important to mention O&G is a company with lots of resources. Susan was able to pull resources from the other teams there, when she needed. Overall, I highly recommend Susan Huhta and O&G.

I had the privilege of working with Susan Huhta and the team at Outten & Golden during a difficult time in my life and career. From our first consultation, Susan made me feel heard and supported, strategically planning, outlining and managing our approach to a tough situation while I was still employed and once I separated from my employer. She handled communications with me, my former employer, and opposing counsel in a highly credible and forthright manner, ensuring both a fair and efficient resolution of my case.

Throughout the entire legal journey, Susan demonstrated exceptional professionalism, expertise, and negotiation skills. Her attention to detail and dedication to my case were apparent in every interaction, and she was always available to answer my questions. Her team was also terrific, and their ability to navigate the complexities of employment law, disability regulations and executive compensation gave me confidence during a tremendously stressful time. Thanks to Susan's exceptional skills, hard work and commitment, we achieved a favorable outcome in a timely period that exceeded my expectations.

I truly felt that Outten & Golden's team fought for my rights every step of the way. I would highly recommend Susan Huhta to anyone facing wrongful termination, discrimination or employment-related disability issues. She is a skilled attorney and a compassionate advocate who genuinely cares about her clients. Thank you, Susan, for everything

Jennifer and her team at Outten & Golden were tremendously helpful in our claims against a former employer. The process was long but that is typical of any lawsuit, and yet they were incredibly communicative throughout the entirety of it. Any questions, concerns, etc. were always addressed immediately and there was never anything that I didn’t feel comfortable with.
