I cannot recommend Emily Ogden highly enough. From the very beginning, Emily was professional, responsive, and genuinely cared about my case and my family. She took the time to explain everything clearly, kept me informed every step of the way, and made an incredibly stressful process feel manageable and grounded.
Her knowledge, confidence, and attention to detail truly made a difference, and I always felt like my voice was being heard and respected. If you are looking for an attorney who is not only highly skilled but also compassionate and dedicated, Emily Ogden is exactly who you want on your side. I am writing to share my experience working with Emily Ogden which, unfortunately, was very disappointing.

Throughout our engagement, I found her services to be significantly overpriced for the quality and quantity of work performed. For example, I was charged approximately $80 simply for her to read an email. While I understand that professional services come at a cost and that I agreed to her rate at the outset, the level of communication, diligence, and advocacy I received did not reflect the value expected at that price point.

At our initial meeting, Emily stated that she could assist in reducing or waiving my arrears. However, little was done to actively pursue that outcome. I was the one repeatedly initiating ideas and suggestions to move the matter forward. As a first-time client navigating divorce and child custody proceedings, I relied on her professional expertise for guidance. Instead, I was frequently told, “There’s nothing I can do — he has to agree to waive them,” which was reiterated multiple times without offering alternative strategies or proactive legal solutions.

Additionally, I experienced several issues with reliability and professionalism. Important communications were missed or delayed, and key documents — including a parenting agreement — were not promptly submitted or signed by the judge. At one point, Emily refused to respond to my inquiries for several weeks, citing that she “did not like my attitude,” which I found highly unprofessional.

While I understand personal circumstances such as illness can arise, consistent delays and excuses made the process unnecessarily stressful. I ultimately felt unsupported and unrepresented.

In my opinion, Emily lacks the empathy and advocacy clients deserve, particularly in sensitive family law matters. I would not recommend her services to others seeking a dedicated and responsive family law attorney.
