Wholly ineffectual.

If you can, start a GFM to raise funds for private counsel.

And if you can't, use NW Justice as a last resort BUT document everything.

Echoing others, NW Justice has an absurdly slow response time and, worse, the paralegal who assisted me ultimately made the situation worse and I've had to obtain private counsel.

This organization is a joke. You can call their phone number and the message just simply says they're not able to take any calls due to heavy call volume. It's just a pre-recorded message. There is no actual message queue or any way to contact them.

It's a pathetic organization and I wouldn't waste your time with them. They are just like the volunteers of America of Western Washington. Pathetic. Nobody exists at these organizations.

Useless. Completely, totally, utterly useless, they'll leave you on your own to deal with whatever case you have that could potentially lead you and your family to ruin, they'll find anything so that you don't qualify. I know it's the last resort of so many people, so they will be contacted by a lot of individuals, but sadly there is no justice here, so you'll likely either have to spend money or get screwed. Even if you qualify, there is a high chance the attorney assigned to you will drop you for personal reasons (as it happened to me a couple of years ago.)
Waste of time in most cases, only contact them as a far away possibility they could help you, but look elsewhere, and especially study the matter on your own, especially since there are not many days available to respond to court filings.
