I could not have asked for a better advocate than Mr. Andrew Lindsey of Price Benowitz. My charge was a serious traffic offense, one for which I would have had to wear the Scarlet Letter for a significant amount of time had my case gone sideways. The security of my current job, as well as prospects for finding gainful employment in the future, would've been dim. Lucky for me Mr. Lindsey was my counsel. Prior to my court appearance, Mr. Lindsey recommended that I complete 25 hours of community service and 12 hours of defensive driver training. As stated previously, Mr. Lindsey knows the court. Having community service and defensive driver training ready to present to the court as signs that you are willing to change your driving habits goes a long way. During my appearance, Mr. Lindsey conferred with the officer who wrote my citation. Mr. Lindsey asked if the officer would consider lesser charges in light of my perfect record. Doing something like this isn't as unusual as it sounds. I must've seen thirty cases go before mine. In many of them, the officer, of his own accord, would provide mitigation for the driver, such as mentioning to the judge that the driver has a perfect record, or that the last offense was decades ago. Based on this, the court gave the driver a lesser offense, often one that meant the difference between a criminal traffic offense and a simple moving violation. The officer in my case wouldn't budge, so Mr. Lindsey decided to go to trial. At best, we would prevail. At worst, the court will show mercy. After the officer gave his testimony, Mr. Lindsey quickly pointed out to the court that the citation did not match the driving offense. The court agreed and the case was dismissed. A lawyer's CV, his intelligence, his innate grasp of the theory of law, are very important parts of the profession. But if the lawyer is to be efficacious, he needs to be able to think quickly on his feet and have an intuitive understanding of the court and the system. These practical aspects can only be learned through experience. I've had a front row seat to the performance of Mr. Lindsey, and I can say that he has all these bases covered. While this may be another 'W' for Mr. Lindsey, it's a life changer for me. I am extremely thankful that my case was handled by such a competent professional.

Andrew pushed to get it entirely dismissed. The judge agreed with Andrew. The prosecutors did not have good cause to nolle prosequi. The judge dismissed the case. What can I say? That was the absolute best result I could have prayed for. Andrew Lindsey has truly been a blessing in my life. Andrew is by far unquestionably the best defense lawyer I have ever hired.
