tl-dr: I have never used an attorney before or been injured in an accident. State Farm made me an initial offer when I got hit by a car. Nick Major raised it by 500% after attorney fees. Insurance companies are for-profit corporations that can afford Super Bowl commercials with famous celebrities. Let Nick make sure you don't get lowballed. I would definitely use him again. Details: I was on a bicycle in a bike lane and hit by a car in February 2026. I had scrapes on my legs that looked rather gnarly, and State Farm offered me a settlement of $X after I sent photos of the scrapes for the claim. State Farm said "We believe this offer is fair and reasonable considering your damages". After receiving State Farm's offer, I used Nick Major's form to schedule a consultation request. He called me within 30 minutes. I sent the photos to him and he was very confident that he could get me more than $X after attorney's fees. He even offered to forgo his fees until he had gotten me more than $X. He also advised me on seeking treatment and getting care and how it could affect the value of my claim. Nick sent a representation letter and demand letter to State Farm. Soon afterwards, State Farm sent me the offer letter for $X again. This was probably a last-ditch effort from State Farm to get me to accept a lowball offer even though State Farm knew it should contact Nick instead of me. Nick informed me that 10 x $X of bodily injury coverage was available from the insured's policy. Throughout the process, Nick informed me when the State Farm adjuster was not responsive to his calls and that he would let me know when he heard back from them. In May 2026, Nick informed me that State Farm offered to settle for over twice the original offer. He advised me that he could probably get it higher. Nick continued to pursue a higher settlement offer. In early June 2026, Nick said he received State Farm's final offer unless we proceeded to litigation. It was about 7 times the original offer, and my net would be almost 500% more than the original offer. He said it was a pretty good pre-litigation offer, but he also wanted me to take the weekend to think about the offer and my scarring. I could probably get a higher amount if we proceeded to litigation, but then the attorney fees rise from 33 1/3% to 40% and there would likely be additional fees and process. He provided recommendations for treating my scars. I accepted the offer and signed the settlement in July 2026.

If you want an attorney who will aggressively fight for your rights, hire Nick Major. The insurance company tried to lowball me, but Nick Major didn't back down. They negotiated a settlement that covered all my medical treatment and then some. Highly recommended.
