There is nothing easy or pleasant about getting a divorce after 42 years. But choosing Brett Nelson and team to help me navigate through a difficult time turned out to be a great decision. He gave me practical and realistic advice at every step of the way. He did a great job of preparing a plan for splitting up complicated assets. This resulted in a successful mediation thereby avoiding going to court. He analyzed and explained my new changed and complicated retirement benefits. He was able to work with opposing counsel well. At the end he drew up a new trust and will for my changed situation which was readily accepted by financial advisors, insurance agents, bankers, etc. His excellent support staff were always available to answer emails and phone calls in a timely manner and listen to any concerns I had. They kept me informed of the next steps to be taken during the entire process. Now that the divorce is completed, I am in a much better place thanks in very large part to Brett and his team.
