I normally do not write bad reviews. In fact, this is the first time I’ve felt the need to leave one. But after the way our case has been handled, I feel obligated to share our experience so that other people can be aware and hopefully avoid going through the same frustration we have experienced. We originally contacted Motion Law and were quoted approximately $10,000 for representation. We paid the initial $1,500 retainer, and over the following months we made additional payments totaling more than $4,500, bringing the total we have paid to over $6,000. The biggest problem is not even the money — it is the lack of communication and accessibility when we actually need our attorney. For 3–4 months, we repeatedly contacted the office because we had important new information regarding our case and needed to speak directly with our attorney. Every time we called, we were told by the paralegal that the attorney would call us back. The calls never came. Eventually, we were able to speak with our attorney, Nadine, directly. We explained that we had been repeatedly asking to speak with her. She told us that she had never received the messages from the paralegal saying that we were requesting a call. She then told us she would call us back on a Monday. We waited. And waited. And to this day, we still have not received that promised call back. What makes this even more frustrating is that the office seems to have no problem contacting us when it is time to remind us about making payments. So apparently, communication works perfectly when money is involved, but when a client needs to actually speak with their attorney about their case, getting a response becomes nearly impossible. That is completely unacceptable to me. When you are paying thousands of dollars for legal representation, you should not have to repeatedly chase the law firm just to get a phone call from the attorney handling your case. You should not constantly be told, “The attorney will call you back,” only for that call to never happen. I understand that attorneys are busy and that they have many clients. I am not expecting an attorney to be available every second of the day. But months of trying to get communication and repeatedly being told someone will call back, only for it not to happen, is unacceptable. I am leaving this review because I want anyone considering using this firm to understand our experience before handing over thousands of dollars. Please do your research. Ask questions about communication. Ask how often you will actually be able to speak with your attorney. And make sure you understand exactly who will be handling your case. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Motion Law’s services. I sincerely hope other people have a better experience than we have had, but if I could go back and make the decision again, knowing what I know now, I would seriously reconsider using this firm. This review is not something I wanted to write. I simply feel that after paying $6,000+ and repeatedly trying to get our attorney to communicate with us, people deserve to know about our experience. Think twice before signing up.

They are the worst law firm. I fulfilled my part of the agreement by sending them the required amount of money to get a divorce, and then they asked for more. They are scammers; they charge exorbitant fees. They also handled my sister's immigration case and did absolutely nothing for her. They are fraudsters.
