I retained this firm after the court appointed Mr. Prettyman as the attorney ad litem in my custody case. During our initial meeting, he came across as honest, professional, and genuinely interested in the facts. I left believing my concerns would be thoroughly investigated and that my child’s best interests would be the primary focus.

Unfortunately, that was not my experience. By the time of the hearing, I felt many of my legitimate concerns had not been adequately explored before recommendations were made. Given the significance of a custody case, I expected a more comprehensive investigation before conclusions were reached. Shortly after the court’s decision, additional significant changes occurred in the other household’s living situation—changes that reinforced the concerns I had previously raised. Since then, I have observed behavioral changes in my child that I believe are concerning.

My frustration continued after the case concluded. The firm sent multiple payment reminders before my invoice was even due. After I promptly paid the invoice in full—and the payment had already cleared my bank account weeks before the due date—I received yet another invoice seeking payment. While billing errors can happen, this added to an already disappointing experience.

Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this firm. If you are looking for legal representation or advocacy in a custody matter, I encourage you to carefully research your options and choose someone who will thoroughly examine the facts, communicate effectively, and inspire confidence that your case is receiving the attention it deserves.
