DO NOT USE THIS LAW FIRM.

I met with them. Many red flags were ignored by me. So let me be the fair warning for you.
1. They quoted me a price on the first phone call.
2. Phone call, increased it by $2,000 because they said it was much more complicated than that.
3. At the meeting, quoted me another price that was $1,000 higher.
4. Assured me that I don’t need to worry about an itemized bill because they do much more work and spend many more hours on the case then they actually bill for.
5. I followed up a few weeks after I paid my retainer, and no work had been done, and I was promised that they would complete the work shortly and I should hear back from the secretary, Joy, by the end of the week. To save you six months of me calling and them, never calling back, but always having excuses as to why they never filed my divorce, petition and summons, I will spare you the details.
6. They have now stopped answering my phone calls, they have never returned my phone calls, and now I’m trying to terminate, or I have sent them a certified letter return receipt, to terminate our relationship and demand that they pay me back.
DO NOT USE THIS LAW FIRM. THEY HAVE A LONG HISTORY OF THIS KIND OF ACTIVITY.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Front desk lady will answer and hang up on you. Called back and left on hold. She’s VERY RUDE.
Had an adoption case with them since 2021! that was PAID IN FULL.
My husband had a civil case in 2023. They state they took the money from the adoption to cover the civil case without my permission. Yes we are married. But 2 separate cases, should be billed separately. Civil case is now closed, but never received updates on my adoption case. Attorney that was handling the case QUIT THE FIRM. So our case is just sitting. My son will now be 18 in November, and still no adoption! I am withdrawing from this joke of a firm, and going else where! THEY ARE ALSO REFUSING TO GIVE ME MY PAPER WORK! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! Not worth the hassle, stress, also to be disrespected by that awful office lady who has ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS! Bye, Morrissette, thank you for leaving me on hold for hours! Worst Business ever!

To anyone needing to find a solid law office to help with family law I highly recommend using the Law office of Richard Morrissette. I was impressed with their efforts to help me in my case, and not once did I feel as if they were in it to fatten their pockets or treat me as another financial gain. I was treated like a human being, which is very hard to find these days when dealing with anything related to our court system or the law. Richard himself was who represented my case, and I felt as if I were in good hands all the way through to the end, never did I feel lost or insecure about our decisions we made toward the case. And it doesn’t stop there. The paralegals that work for him are beyond incredible! These ladies were tenacious, incredibly knowledgeable and supportive toward my case, they guided me every step of the way and made sure I was aware of what was going on. My heart and gratitude go out to “Joy” and Kassie! As well as the other ladies that work there, but these two here were my heavenly fighting angels! Don’t let “Joy” know I said this though as she likes to keep a stern game face on most of the time. They were professional and most of all supportive to my needs and questions. I was never made to feel as if what I had questions on or concerns towards were needless. Kassie, along with Richard, was there with me at my mediation and she did such an amazing job at helping me understand what was needed and helped me every step of the way. I can’t express my satisfaction any more than simply saying, thank you! Thank you Morrissette Law for being there for me, fighting for me and supporting me. I can honestly say I am a free and happy man after my incredibly tough ordeal. Don’t pass this Law office up folks!
