I cannot recommend Julie Westerman and the team at Moore, Schulman & Moore enough. Julie is an exceptional family law attorney who brings outstanding legal expertise with genuine compassion and professionalism. Throughout my case, Julie and her team were always responsive, and provided clear guidance during a very challenging time. Julie always took the time to explain strategy and the law. She valued my input, listened carefully to my concerns, and always provided options for my case. Julie is smart, thorough and her no-nonsense approach was exactly what I needed. If you are looking for an attorney who is knowledgeable, ethical, and truly committed to her clients, I wholeheartedly recommend Julie Westerman and the entire team at Moore, Schulman & Moore.

In my personal experience, working with MSM Moore during my divorce caused far more harm than help. What began as a difficult situation quickly escalated into something far more overwhelming and expensive. I found their approach to be counterproductive and damaging to family communication, which only intensified conflict and emotional strain. In my view, this dynamic can put children and families at greater risk by increasing hostility instead of fostering resolution. I also felt that the guidance received took advantage of an already vulnerable time, leading to outcomes that did not serve my family’s best interests—emotionally or financially. Before relying on the positive reviews, I strongly recommend speaking directly with past clients and doing thorough, independent research. Your family’s well-being is worth the extra diligence.

Save yourself from this group. You’re going thru enough if you’ve got to the point of seeking counsel, don’t make it worse by using this office. Multiple errors were made (some of which in front of the judge due to a lack of preparation or reading email responses) For the most expensive around sd they are wholly disorganized , they don’t use a portal for communication or billing but dozens of different email threads . Unreturned phone calls and un-eager to meet in person which is what I preferred. It’s hard to tell if they had bad intentions in the errors they made writing contracts (to extract the most possible money from me) or if Kevin and Lauren were incompetent , either way they made a bad situation worse and had near zero positive contribution to our case.

If I could go lower I would have "Torres" representing me in a Grandparent Visitation Petitioning Lawsuit Case. To have had him listen to my concerns regarding my grandchildren when asked to explain what the intake clerk had taken notes on just to read me the laws of California I needed to justify his taken me on as a client and to reiterate I had just responded to his cross-examination only to have him object to my personality as being a "wrong fit for the firm" was beyond what I expected to find as his verdict. For him to have stated I met the requirements as found in the Law Manual he used to question whether I had the evidence needed to support the firm filing a case for me let me feeling more than "Torres" was capable of during the conversation. This is obviously a firm which requires emotional bankruptcy from the client whose grandchildren are being abused in San Diego, CA.
