Don't lose you money to this scam artist.

After a tragic bus accident in Peru in June of 2025 where my son and his girlfriend were seriously injured, we retained Monteblanco & Associates to negotiate a settlement from the bus company Transzela. In our signed Letter of Engagement, his firm promised to "work diligently on your case" and to "keep you informed of the progress of your case," but the firm failed to fulfill these obligations and did not provide any evidence of legal work done on our behalf. After paying a $10,000 USD retainer on 7/16/25, we received no updates from the firm. On 9/29/25 we sent an urgent email demanding a detailed update on the work performed and status of negotiations. They have sent us no evidence of legal work done on our behalf. On 10/4/25, we sent another email to terminate representation and request a full refund, but have heard nothing from the firm.

This situation goes beyond a simple failure to perform promised services; we feel we were actively misled during the retention process. Mr. Monteblanco was highly communicative before we paid the $10,000 USD retainer but ceased all meaningful communication immediately afterward. Based on other online reviews, it appears Mr. Monteblanco has pulled this scam before.

We believe that Mr. Monteblanco took our money with no intention of providing legal services. We think that his website and online presence are simply a front to provide legitimacy to his fraudulent activities.

Stay far, far away from Sandro Monteblanco.

Extremely disappointing experience. I initially reached out to the firm on May 4th, and the response was swift. Mr. Monteblanco scheduled a Zoom meeting and promised to send a contract within a week, requiring my credit card details. Despite complying with their requests, all I encountered were delays and a lack of follow-up. I regret investing my time and trust in this firm. If zero stars were an option, that would be my rating. I strongly advise looking for a more professional service that values your time and business.

An update on this case, as I just saw Mr. Sandro's comment: You gave us the IMPRESSION that you were actively addressing our case for months, revisiting the matter through emails and consuming our time. This doesn't seem very professional. I hope this strategy serves you well in your business endeavors!
