My fiancee hired this attorney because she assured her that it would be minimal hours to be the reviewing attorney for our prenuptial agreement, not likely to exceed $2500. So with that in mind, she hired her, I paid a $5,500 retainer on her behalf, but then in reality, she started charging tons of money, not even taking it from the retainer, but rather making new charges on my credit card. Every week, even though absolutely nothing happened with the prenup, they charge a $75 review fee, even though there's nothing to review since nothing changed from the previous week. Then they started charging for review and edits, but didn't make the requested edits. Over a month goes by, then I get hit with a charge for $1845 for the time spent to make suggested edits to the prenuptial. However, to this day, she has never sent over the edits from having multiple lawyers working on her financials and edits. It is now 2 months later and my attorney still has none of my fiancee’s financials. This bill was $1845. Then again, over a month goes by (5 weeks) without the promised changes being sent over, so my fiancee emailed them multiple times to spur them into action. This whole time, we're still getting charged weekly for bogus review time. She then sends over one short section of the agreement, despite having discussed multiple changes to also work on, and charges a second amount $1742.50 when her single clause edit was already paid for by the previous bill. I guess when a month goes by it's hard for the attorney, Rachel MacKenzie, to remember what was discussed in terms of amendments, so she needed to discuss again what to do and be double paid. I've paid over $4200 for basically nothing, plus she still has my $5,500 retainer. Then, the attorney, Rachel MacKenzie, has a zoom call with my fiancee who was concerned about being double charged. My fiancee asked to see everything that was worked on this far, stating these charges can't be right unless there's more work she has done. Rachel told her that she totally botched this thing and was not going to charge any more money to finish it up. My partner's aunt was there shadowing to confirm she heard correctly. The next day, she charges another $1742.50 for a few different things to be done, but my fiancee never received any of the things that she charged for. So at this point, I think we're just going to finish up with another attorney and try to get the $5500 retainer back since this attorney is just not doing anything she says, plus she lied about finishing up the agreement without charging more money after she botched it. There may be some recourse for recovering the money already charged since there's no proof of any legal work being done aside from a small edit to a single clause, worth maybe about $200 of attorney time in my opinion. Currently I'm out $4,247.50 for basically no substantial legal work and I still need to hire another attorney to actually get the job done. Plus I have to hope I can get my $5,500 retainer back, otherwise it'll be more like $9,747.50 that I'll be scammed out of. This whole experience feels like a scam, especially after the attorney admitted to botching it on the zoom call and promised not to charge more money, only to charge another $1750 the very next day and the basic tasks she said she would do still aren't completed, but she has her money! 0/10, do not recommend

Use this law firm if you enjoy being ignored for weeks at a time, not having your questions answered, and getting invoiced for work that was never done

The worst family custody law firm, I called and Erin conghuyen was assigned to my case, she never meet me in person, everything was barely through email and short two phone calls, they rob me so much money, and they pretty much didn’t do any work for my case. Save your sanity and money, hire someone else. This law firm really are scammers
