I have to say, this lawyer is one of the most straightforward and honest lawyers I’ve ever dealt with. I called him looking for some help with my pistol permit hearing. He could have easily told me I needed to put down a retainer before he would even speak with me, like many lawyers do. Instead, his secretary told me that he would call me and that I should expect to hear from him by 9:30 the next morning. Sure enough, he called me at 9:25. He was completely upfront with me. He told me, “There’s really nothing I can do for you in the hearing. The judge doesn’t want to hear from me — he wants to hear from you.” He said that if I wanted to retain him to sit next to me during the hearing, I could, but he didn’t try to sell me something I didn’t need. Instead, he took the time to give me some honest advice and guidance on how to approach the hearing myself. I took his advice, followed through, and I’m happy to say that I now have my permit. So, hats off to this guy. He doesn’t bullshit you, he doesn’t try to take your money just because he can, and he genuinely wants to help. If you’re looking for a lawyer who is honest, straightforward, and willing to point you in the right direction, I highly recommend him.
