Honestly, just like all of the reviews - these people are rude and insensitive. Hire better people, it would work out better for the company. Please don’t try to bully people over the phone, you don’t know what people are going through and what they are capable of.

The MOST STUPID LAW FIRM!! I was garnished 4-5 months ago I took out an advance from work to pay the percentage to get out of the garnishment and got a clear from the judge and now the are trying to garnish AGAIN for the SAME exact thing I was cleared for and can’t get on the phone with ANY of the stupid people………

I had a very unpleasant experience with this company. The legal assistant I spoke with was extremely rude and aggressive and repeatedly interrupted me. She kept saying, “Sir, I can’t give you legal advice on how to pay your amount due,” even though I was not asking for legal advice. I was simply asking how to connect my account to my DMP account so I could manage my payments. She was unhelpful, dismissive, and would not allow me to explain my question, which made the interaction very frustrating.

Was hired through a collection agency to recover debt, worst service I’ve ever encountered. Waste of time and money.

These people will play games with your finances. Had a suit filed against me for a bill I thought had been paid. The court papers were apparently delivered to an address I had not lived at for YEARS!!!! Then Mendelson bought the debt. They literally sat on the papers for more than 5 years!!! They could have gone after my paychecks at any of my employers (I worked 3 jobs at one time before getting the job I am at now and have been at for almost 4 years). They waited until late 2023 to do anything. Thanks to some effort, I was able to get the garnishment for over $24,000 stopped that they got on me. I filled out a Hardship Application and submitted it in February 2024. I got no response to any attempt to contact them and did not hear anything by mail from them...Until February this year. Then they claimed that I was missing stuff with the application, which going back through my email proved that was a lie. Turns out they had sat on the application and never submitted it until this year. In April, they claimed the application was denied by Merit Health. When I asked for proof repeatedly, they ignored me. Then I told them that I spoke with an attorney and was told I was legally allowed to ask for the proof from Merit Health that my application was denied. Funny how they stopped speaking to me the minute I said that. I am now getting ready to retain an attorney to deal with them for me. The medical bill never showed up on my credit report under Merit Health or with anyone else. I am now intending to fight this one. Do yourself a favor and ask for proof that the debt is in fact yours, and then reach out to the original place the debt was for. Do everything you can to not have to deal with Mendelson. Do not let them scare you into doing anything.
