I was married to James Elliott for 31 good years together we raised our 2 children and adopted 2 more into our home. It wasn't until my mother passed suddenly that I developed insomnia, anixety and depression when I needed my husband the most he decided to divorce me. Thats when Melba Bater came into the picture. What a mistake.. I gave her my last $5,000 only for her to grant my husband everything, I had nothing not even a car to drive to try and help myself.
I trusted her and signed the papers so sick I didn't even realize I was signing my life away, literally.. James Elliott stole it all with her help.
What Melba Baxter didn't know was my contributions to our 31 year marriage was that we had gifts of property from my parents , Robert and Patricia Tinkle of Lake Murvaul land that we were able to sell to help us grow in our marriage. For instance
$118,000 for a down payment for our home , bass boat , barge and Harley Davidson motorcycle for him. All paid for so he / we could enjoy our golden years without any debt. These proceeds were gifts from my family not his.
She gave it all to him I had nothing. I wound up in a mental institution because I was so sick and was just evicted from my home and no where to go for the first time in my life. I guess I can honestly say Melba Baxter helped James Elliott put me on the street with nothing.
Ill never know why either cause I stay away from greedy evil people. Thou Shalt Not Steal . I thank God everyday for his love and giving me the courage to heal and find happiness within myself again but I still don't trust anyone especially Melba Baxter.

If I could give this lady less than 1 star I would, back in 2021 she was supposed to file the adoption for my wife's adoptive family so that my wife would no longer have ties to her biological one. 3 years later and we are trying to get all her information together because I am going to PCS and come to find out that Melba never even submitted the paperwork to the court so my wife was never adopted

I hired Melba in February of 2019 and she's a "mover and a shaker". She dug for information, taught me how to handle my end to recoeve a positive outcome; and we won!! Now I need her again and was informed of her retirement. I pray that I recieved false information 🙏🏿😪. Melba did her job and came thru for my family and I.
