Tony and Stephanie at McDivitt Law Firm worked diligently for me. They got me back more than we initially expected, and really pushed to make that happen. I cannot express how grateful I am to the McDivitt Team!

Bridget & Carl were great & polite and Carl seemed to care for me & my injuries. However Carl ended up leaving the firm & I had to swap from Carl to Cristin Fritzgerald. With Cristin, I had an extremely terrible experience. She was extremely egotistical and always spoke to me condescendingly and talked to me as if I was less than. I never felt comfortable or secure with Cristin as an attorney. It was like she didn’t care about my case or my injuries & just wanted me to settle with low ball offers & thought that I should be satisfied. When I expressed to her, I was unsatisfied with the way things were going with my second case and I no longer wanted her as an attorney, b/c I didn’t like the way she spoke to me. My 20yr old daughter witnessed the way she was speaking to me & said woah mom, she seems to be very frustrated with you. I told Cristin that, I no longer wanted her to represent me, b/c I didn’t like the way she talked to me nor the things she was saying to me. I was going to call and speak to someone to get a different attorney on my case. Before I can elaborate and ask for a different attorney, I was sent a certified termination letter through the mail. With my first case what I didn’t like is that I was advised to keep getting treatment to get a larger settlement, although I didn’t feel like I wanted to continue to get treatment, b/c I felt like my condition would never change. I had a prior injury that was lifelong & the accident made my things worser and I just didn’t think I would heal. I was advised to continue treatment. When the case was settled I ended up getting a small portion of the money. You think, b/c Mc Divitt takes 35%, you will walk away with at least 50% of the money from the settlement. But what happens is Mc Divitt takes their 35% off top. Then medical bills & expenses are deducted from your portion of the settlement. You end up walking away with less than 1/2 of what you were offered and I just don’t think that’s fair. In some cases it’s just best to try to settle with the other parties insurance at the beginning. It’s less of a headache. For me to be offered $15,000 & I only would take away $6000 is absurd. After receiving treatment and waiting for a case to settle over a year. Explaining the way I feel and asking questions, triggered Cristin Fritzgerald. All I wanted was my attorney to fight and go for a little more, b/c that’s what I was promised in a prior conversation. My attorney seemed to just want to settle my case and take the first low ball offer and then told me, she think this was a good amount and she advise me to take it. It’s like she had no fight at all when it came to me & was extremely egotistical. I’m not sure if it was a black and white thing or if it was a thing with me being a woman & she was a woman. Cristin didn’t seem to have a care in the world about my case. She kept telling me with my first case well you know you have your 2nd settlement, etc. After my first settlement was settled. She advised me to go on and settle my 2nd and I didn’t feel the amount it was being settled for was ok. B/c I can’t even bend down to tie my shoes. I have to wear shoes with no shoe strings. I also now have a caregiver to help me with daily tasks. I just felt like I wasn’t being offered a decent amount of money for my injuries and the attorney I had (Cristin Fritzgerald) didn’t seem to have my best interest. Both my cases with McDivitt I had to constantly call and ask for updates. My sister whom was also involved in the car accident went to a different law firm and had an extremely better outcome. So I guess it just depends on the attorney. I wouldn’t recommend Cristin to anyone. I came to McDivitt, b/c I had 2 cousins, that had them prior. I had a cousin with a case in 2016 and a cousin with a case in 2018 & I was recommended by them.

*Another thing, make sure you go over your medical bills and treatment and things they’re deducting from your settlement. I was hospitalized for a bowel obstruction, that had nothing to do with the car accident and it was deducted from my settlement.
