Beautiful office and the staff is quite lovely and very polite. Personal experience comes as a third party witness in a contested Probate case. Due to my ongoing medical issues I had been awake for over 76 hours when I came into Mr. Rubrights office. I was heavily sedated under pain medications, muscle relaxers etc due to a recent spinal procedure which I informed Mr. Rubright and the court reporter of and he continued to take my deposition as if that isn't a clear violation of Ethics. Mr. Rubright continually tried to infer that I wasn't seriously ill or receiving medical care on multiple occasions and even had the audacity to try and say that my emergency spine surgery was most likely scheduled intentionally to impede my deposition.....it's called and emergency for a reason folks....
Additionally, during an incident wherein my fiance entered the office to voice his concern about my deposition taking longer than scheduled (four hours initially plus another 4 hours week later) and my fiance had been waiting for several hours past his appointment time for his deposition. There was additional concern about how long I had been made to sit and give a deposition so soon after my spinal procedures (just a few days after...) I came in as my fiance was asking Mr. Rubright how long the depositions would take and if rubright intended to pay the costs associated with child care and transportation to and from each deposition for myself, my adopted mom and fiance all whom have had subpoenas for deposition scheduled.
Mr. Rubright proceeded to tell my fiance that they will take as long as they take, and that Mr. Rubright can demand us to keep coming back day after day until our depositions are finished. My fiance asked/stated that it was illegal to keep us against our will, wasn't it? and that we (my fiance, myself and my mom) would be leaving for the day. That is when Mr. Rubright became visibly angry and told my fiance to come sit down that they would be conducting his deposition right then and there (despite mine still being ongoing and in process....we just took a recess.) There was a bit of commotion between the two of them before my fiance said "Enough we are leaving." At which point Mr. Rubright turned to the court reporter and Instructed her to go "back on record" and record that my fiance was making threats towards Mr. Rubright and impeding my deposition, neither of which were the case. The court reporter began typing Mr. Rubrights iterations and my fiance stated to her that any recording of false information is a crime as these proceedings were being conducted under the penalty of perjury.
