I thought the Masorti Law Group makes it easy to show them what I need them to help me out with a back injury.

I was recommended to Philip from another attorney and after reading the reviews I was very impressed and felt he could really help me in my legal issues. Due to him being on vacation and a quick court case coming up he had Attorney Klena meet with me and take my first case. While I made it very clear to Attorney Klena that my ex and her attorney like to lie and make false accusations against me after he spoke with my exes attorney he acted like he believed everything he was told and I was at fault. I am not sure if Attorney Klena has kids but it does not seem that way as he did not understand the concern of a father. I understand there are ways to handle legal issues and being pro se for a bit I was trying to navigate things myself and he never once showed any sign of understanding and just told me I need to stop doing everything. Philip was more understanding from having kids and explained things more like he was on my side than against me. I am sure having him represent me would have helped my case because he has years of experience and once Philip saw the urgency he was willing to cut vacation short to come back and get to work but Philip and Attorney Klena both seem to have egos bigger than they can handle. While I do not have any knowledge of the ins and outs of court I simply stated to Philip that I know I have done nothing wrong as much as I am being accused of and I think my cases are pretty solid just to let him know I was not blowing smoke and he took MAJOR offense to my comment and said I was very insulting by saying that and I should look for another attorney for the criminal case and would let me know about the custody case and would be in contact later that day to let me know. About 5 minutes later after stating I did not have the $10,000 up front to pay and asked if I could make payments he said he was no longer going to represent me in either case and that Attorney Klena said he thought I was a good person and nice guy from meeting me. Wow, what a great way to try and smooth things over. I asked for what was left of my retainer since I was struggling financially and there should have been a decent amount left after only meeting with Attorney Klena once and him being at my case for around 2-2.5 hours with travel time only to act like I was wrong. All I got in reply was Philip telling his secretary to again send me the agreement stating it was non refundable. I have never not been given my retainer back whether I decided to switch attorneys or they were not able to help me because of the urgency in my matter even though it said non refundable. I hope Philip used my retainer to pay for more room service on his vacation while I struggle. This is the first ever review I have wrote that has anything negative to say. Usually if I have a bad experience I just leave it go as I don't like to blast my grievances on the internet but I feel this needed to be said.

Attorney Masorti is an exceptional lawyer—knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely committed to his clients. I have had Attorney Masorti represent me in two separate occasions. The first matter, due to changes in the law, it was difficult to determine what the probability of my disposition would be.
