I was honored to be chosen to be the executrix for a family member. However, I lived in another state than said family member. When the time came, I called the attorneys that were listed on the last will & testament. Unfortunately, the attorney who was named on the paperwork had passed away himself AND the company had also changed hands. Thankfully, the new company had assumed all client material from the original company and was able to meet with me just a few weeks following my family member's death. What I thought would be a difficult experience between unknown extended family and myself actually proceeded without issue. I ensured all things were done either in writing or in the presence of the attorney so NO questions would ever arise! The process took longer than expected due to longer court/paperwork processing time, but that was out of all of our hands. Complexity was not an issue for this office! Martin, Brown, Hull, & Harper, as well as their paralegal Tabby, was BEYOND helpful given my family's circumstances! Every I was dotted! Every T was crossed! Everything was filed in a timely manner! All in-person meetings were handled diplomatically by the attorneys so as not to favor one side more than the other (since none of us knew one another prior to the family member's death.) I cannot recommend this office highly enough! I'm positive they will handle your specific needs just as professionally as they handled mine.
