I trusted Mark, but he scammed me. I am almost positive he was scamming me the whole time bc I didn't know my rights and he knew that. When the money ran out, he didn’t just leave me hanging, he set me up on the way out. Even for years afterwards I couldn’t accept it, but I finally have. He is a good attorney only if you know your rights. When your case is dragging on and on, I promise he is running a hustle on you. When he goes on and on in open court and he is hard to follow, it is a hustle. When non issues become issues he is actively participating and help create them. Be very careful about who the opposing counsel is because there are a few of them that have historically worked together scamming both of their clients together. To be safe, I would request all correspondence to OC be in writing and demand you be copied on all of it. That way it keeps everything on the up and up. Bottom line, if he knows he can play you he will, but if he can’t, he won’t. If the OC seems really aggressive and you feel like Mark isn’t standing up for you, it is because they have decided Mark will play defense and the other will play offense. That dynamic allows them to drag it out, for legal fees. If you are stuck in a situation in which you have had to disprove multiple false allegations and the other side is not getting in trouble nor is the court shutting it down, means both of the attorneys are in on it as well as the judge. Do not allow him to meet with OC in judges chambers. You have to be firm with him though and tell him you do not consent. Also be very careful with your mediators meaning vet them throughly. He tends to use the same ones and most of them have a pretty bad reputation. If you feel stuck in that the case keeps dragging on, but the idea of starting over with someone else seems impossible, trust me it isn’t. You can always get a consultation from another attorney without telling him. I wish I would have known that back then. Everybody around here knows Mark Cochran’s cases often seem never ending. That chaos and confusion can be shut down easily with many attorneys around here. Mark is a good attorney, don’t get me wrong, but his ethics aren’t exactly top tier. You have to know your rights, don’t let your guard down and remember he works for you, which means you have a right to transparency.

Mr. Cochran represented me in my last divorce. My Ex gutted the house as she left while I was at work. After a three year marriage, she took things that I’d owned for several years beyond our marriage date.

By the time Mark Cochran was done crushing her lie riddled testimony in court, the judge was threatening her with warrants for her arrest for not abiding by her side of our court mandated mediated agreement.

After witnessing that remarkable display of talent, I’ll never consider using another attorney.
