My consultation with Mr. Mesler regarding an Order of Protection was completely inappropriate. He behaved less like a lawyer evaluating my case and more like a defense attorney cross-examining a victim, even though I was the one considering hiring him. He cherry-picked details from my police report, twisted them, and dismissed everything I tried to clarify.

He even tried to attack my credibility by suggesting I was smoking marijuana during my assault, which was not only false but wildly unprofessional. Instead of gathering facts, he spent the entire consult inventing excuses he would use to defend the man who assaulted me. There was no empathy, no objectivity, and no sense of responsibility toward someone seeking help.

I’m glad I decided to seek legal representation elsewhere. If you’re a woman dealing with domestic violence or sexual assault, please go anywhere else. This was one of the least supportive and most disrespectful legal interactions I’ve ever experienced.
