I contacted Maria for an expungement of my record and she stated she was knowledgeable in these cases. I provided her all the supporting documents of my case and rehabilitation. She filed the wrong court documents for my case. We get to court and my case is called and the judge immediately said this is not correct and called the attorney's to the bench were she let Mrs Amya know how she filed the wrong paper work and Maria withdrew the paper work.and tried to tell me some people's records cant be expunged. I called her on her submitting the wrong paper work and lying about having knowledge in expungement cases waisting mine and the courts time .She said that's my opinion and there's nothing she could do for my case she stated some people's records cant be expunged and she wasn't going to refund my money. I contacted the BBB and filed a complaint. I went to the courthouse and got the court documents stating she filed the wrong documents and withdrew the motion. Only after I did all this and she was notified by the court that I was requesting court documents because she was the attorney of record for this case did she call me and offer a full refund. She is a shady lawyer and only did the right thing after I went to the court house. She was good taking my money for her bad representation and incompetence in expungement law and filing the wrong paper work. I would stay away from this attorney. Her incompetence cost me anther year on this expungement process.
