I hired Todd Sandahl to address urgent family court issues involving my parental rights and ongoing violations affecting my relationship with my child. Instead of getting action, strategy, or resolution, what I got was repeated billing, delays, and endless “review.”
While I was actively being denied communication with my child and dealing with ongoing violations of a court order, there was no urgency whatsoever. No meaningful enforcement action. No aggressive protection of parental rights. No real movement.
What did continue? The invoices.
I was billed for emails, billed for reviewing documents, billed for communications, billed for copies and materials that were specifically requested from me yet many of those same communications went unanswered or resulted in no meaningful action.
Imagine paying hundreds of dollars per hour just to repeat yourself, resend documents, and still get no resolution.
At some point, it starts to feel less like legal representation and more like a billing exercise.
The most frustrating part is that the immediate issue was straightforward: enforcement of parenting rights and addressing ongoing interference. Instead of focused action, everything became another review, another delay, another charge.
When a parent is actively losing time with their child, time matters. Urgency matters. Communication matters.
This experience left me feeling unheard, overbilled, and completely unsupported during a matter where parental rights were actively at stake.
I would not recommend this experience to any parent expecting urgency, communication, or decisive action.
You can trust him and depend on him to be there for you until your case has ended.
