I was very disappointed with the services provided by Ms. Mays from the Camp Creek office. This office was used to finalize the sale of a home as a part of a contentious probate matter that took 3 years to resolve. Most importantly it required an agreement on disbursements to an estate after settling on agreed upon reimbursement expenses. Although this detail and the specifics were shared with the attorney and staff a major error in how this was calculated was made causing the prior agreement reached to be broken and the estate receiving less than it should. I tried to point this out but was told l was wrong only to find out later that I was correct. Further making this process worse was that I was first given checks which were significantly less than the amount we should have gotten. Had I not insisted on opening each envelope with a check and adding them up I would not have discovered this. These checks were collected and then new ones reissued. No explanation was given as to how this happened. Again I questioned if the calculations were correct and I was told emphatically they were. I didn’t discover until I was home that the checks were not correct. I do take some responsibility for not stopping the process but at that time I felt we were being rushed out. I also discovered when I got home that the disbursement agreement form I had signed earlier had a written alteration on it that wasn’t there when I signed it. I reached out to the firm to share the mistake made and was told that I had signed the altered form which now included the incorrect disbursement amounts. I know I would not have signed this form because it was incorrect and more importantly it broke the difficult agreement we had worked so hard to reach. When I disputed this claim I was sent a message basically saying “all funds have been disbursed and any issues would have to be resolved between the parties”. This has caused great distress on our family after working for 3 years to get this settled. What troubled me was the failure to listen to me as I pointed out the error in the first place, to never take any responsibility for the mistake and lastly “misrepresenting” the fact that I had signed an altered form which I had not done. To be clear I understood that the law firm may not have been able to correct the financial discrepancy but their unwillingness to acknowledge their mistake and their assertion that I had signed something I knew I had not added unnecessary stress to an already highly stressful situation. I would never recommend them especially if you have a complicated house closing.

Do not use this office. (Camp Creek) As a first-time homebuyer, our closing experience here was extremely disappointing.
Our closing was scheduled for 3:30 PM. Since it was our first home purchase, we weren’t exactly sure what to expect, but we are pretty laid-back people, as was our realtor. The sellers were also very kind and easygoing. Unfortunately, the process was handled in a very sloppy and unprofessional way.
There were two mistakes in the paperwork including an incorrect address and my old married last name appearing on the documents which is something I specifically did not want. I’m not sure exactly where the error originated, but it was likely from the loan company. This was especially confusing since I was not on the loan, only the deed. This is not their fault but they handled this poorly. Our attorney did eventually get my name corrected, but the way it was handled felt careless and what should have taken 30 mins took 3 hours.
At one point, our attorney left the room to handle three other closings at the same time without mentioning this to us beforehand. When I stepped out to ask about the status, the staff were unapologetic and acted as though we should have already known this was the plan. They explained they had four closings scheduled simultaneously. When I told the secretary that no one had informed us the attorney would be leaving to handle other closings, she looked at me like I had three heads. They also never gave us a timeframe. Kept saying I don't know, I don't know about estimated time. They were awaiting for the folks in the Newnan office to fix my name. They could not do it I am assuming. so essentially this place is useless even if you need a change on your documents during closing.
In total, we were there for three hours.
Both our realtor and the sellers who are experienced investors said they would not use this office again. The sellers were incredibly patient throughout the process and even they seemed shocked by how things were handled.
I cannot speak for their other locations, but based on this experience, I would not recommend this office. They may be a large company with many offices, but that does not necessarily mean they provide good service. Considering the fees paid for a closing, the experience felt far from professional.
The attorney herself was not very friendly or welcoming. The overall experience did not feel warm or personable at all. In fact, she seemed annoyed that I asked for my last name to be corrected, even though that is an important legal detail and who the hell wants their OLD married name when buying a house with your current spouse. As someone going through their first closing, the interaction felt uncomfortable and somewhat dismissive. The only positive I can mention is that they did have drinks Sprite, Coke, Coffee and candy available while you wait which, unfortunately, you may end up doing for quite a while. I hope they don't have a single Carmello left.

I have been a Real Estate agent 12 years and this is the WORST experience with a closing attorney I've ever had. The communication is awful and professionalism is non existent. Just excuse after excuse. I would give zero stars if I could.
