Louis W. Boltik Attorney At Law

I hired Louis Boltik after an initial consultation where he was proactive, responsive, and clear — which is exactly why I chose him for my real estate transaction. Unfortunately, that changed almost immediately after the attorney review period ended and earnest money was deposited. For the remainder of the transaction, communication essentially stopped. Emails from me and from my realtor went unacknowledged for days at a time. Calling his office during business hours rarely got through — he was consistently on other calls — and I'd typically only hear back after 6 PM, by which point we'd lost an entire business day on a time-sensitive deal. Near the end of the transaction, this lack of communication caused real friction between the buyer's and seller's agents and attorneys, adding unnecessary stress to an already stressful process. The day before closing, I had to call his office repeatedly just to get him to respond to basic questions that had gone unanswered for days. The initial consultation was excellent, but once he was actually retained, responsiveness dropped off significantly. If timely communication during a real estate closing matters to you, I'd think carefully before hiring Louis Boltik.

I informally met Louis in his lobby one day as I was searching for an attorney to prepare two wills, POAs, and Advance Directives. Louis seemed like a great match and asked me to email him and he would send me the necessary forms to fill out. I emailed him that same day. After a week or so of not receiving anything back, I called and left a voicemail. Nothing. Another week or two and a receptionist answered and said Louis would call me back later that day. Nothing. Complete silence from Mr. Boltik. This office lacks any sense of professionalism and courtesy toward a prospective client who treated him with the utmost respect and had plans for future real estate business with him. No longer. I would NEVER use Louis Boltik under any circumstances. If he was free, I wouldn't use him. In the meantime, I found another attorney much closer to home and very professional.

Louis and his team are excellent. They are very good with communication and respond quickly when dealing with deadlines and housing contracts. Louis does an amazing job at explaining things and providing advice on how to navigate difficult situations. He helped us with negotiations and an inspection letter on our home contract and we are grateful for his professionalism and expertise. Would highly recommend, especially for first time home buyers who are new to the whole process!
