My attorney of record for court was supposed to be Richard Sprinkle, I received the bait and switch, and Zachary Smith was the attorney present at court. Zack is nice guy but was overmatched by the defense. I gave them 4 months of video evidence to show the judge the highlighted videos. The November videos weren't as clear with good sound with the neighbor working on his house and he had a fountain running in his pond affecting the sound quality. The latter videos were much better with the strong sound required.
Richard said he has a background in video and sound and I told him to make sure and pick the right ones. Richard seemed to have dropped the ball with numerous communication failures with staff and Zach to prepare the correct videos with led to the judge's non-favorable decision.
He was very good at taking the retainer but failed at all other aspects. I expected a victorious ruling, but the incompetence cost me. Now I'm at the mercy of the defendant and family who have threatened my life over their illegal trucking company.
At 70 years old, one would think you could trust an attorney. Their final suggestion to me was to pack a gun for protection. That's not the sound advice from a competent attorney, nor what I wanted to hear.
Baton Rouge does not have the best pool of attorneys; it's either ambulance chasers or guys like this that will leave you hanging.
If you need an attorney, keep looking, these guys are not it.
