Best law firm in town! Richard has helped me out more than once, and is awesome. Super smart, dedicated, honest, the lawyer I will be using from now on (let's hope I don't need to, though, LOL). Longman Jakuback Law Corp are some of the best folks you'll ever meet. Thank y'all for everything you've done for me!

MY POST IS BEING REMOVED!! I will continue to post my experience. If there is anything mentioned that is getting it removed feel free to reach out to me and I’ll update it but my review will be seen.

Update 6/17/2026 still have not been contacted that my case has been dropped, and only know this information from my incarcerated father who is not the person who should be contacted as I’m the one over the contract.

I think everyone should be warned about this law firm. I have been deeply hurt by their decision to drop my father's case without notifying me directly; I learned about it through my incarcerated father instead. I still have yet to receive any formal communication regarding the case being dropped.

This firm knows how much I have sacrificed for this cause, even when the odds were against us. Initially, everyone seemed passionate about the case, and the atmosphere felt friendly and family-oriented. However, after I paid the final amount, it was as if I never heard from anyone again. This is not the law firm I thought it was.

To abandon the case based on the belief that my father had distrust is upsetting. In any case, shouldn't clients be allowed to ask questions, raise concerns, and offer their ideas? This is not distrust; this is about someone’s life and his last chance at freedom.

While I’m not a hateful person and am still thankful for what the firm did for us initially, it’s clear the relationship has changed. Even worse, I was never contacted to let me know the case was dropped. I can document how we were treated at the beginning compared to now, especially since I’ve paid the firm in full. They claim to have spent $77,000 on this case, but they agreed to a contract amount of $35,000 with a $10,000 retainer fee.

Moreover, there were personal interactions between my father and the paralegal, which included visits and personal letters that could jeopardize the case. This behavior is completely unacceptable, and I reported this issue, expecting immediate action.

They seem to discourage questions about their decisions, even though seeking clarification is essential. I have exhausted all my financial resources, and I am still repaying loans. I plan to write to the board with all my documentation—emails, letters, and photos—to discuss this matter further, and my uncle will be consulting his attorneys for next steps.

What started as an amazing experience has turned into a nightmare. I urge caution based on the negative reviews, particularly from those with larger cases, as it appears the firm is better suited for minor matters. I did not want to post this, but I reached out to them almost a week ago with no response.
