I hired Greg as my attorney to purchase a home. He came as a referrel from someone who used him on a few occasion for the purchase of million dollar homes.
I have bought a home before so I some what new what I was getting into, but I really didn't remember too much from the last purchase. What I do know is that I was pleaseantly surprised by how involved Greg was.
My original closing date was supposed to be Dec 20th of 2013. Two days before my closing we ran into some typical issues. The lender came back with more conditions to complete. Greg was constantly making phone calls to the lender, the broker, and the title company. We didn't end up closing the 20th, simply because of one document that was needed. We pushed to have the closing the following Monday, then it was Tuesday. At the end of Tuesday, which was Christmas Eve, Greg was still making phone calls and working to get it done. Since there was a possibility to close on Thursday, the day after Christmas, Greg cut short is Holiday Plans to be at the closing. Greg drove in from Wisconsin to make sure he was there just in case.
We didn't end up closing til Friday Dec 27th. Even with a full week to clear up one issue with just one document, he was still on the phone with all parties making sure we were going to close.
When we were at the closing Greg stepped up and took charge. He reviewed docs, he was making sure the lender was sending the money, and he was making sure that the title company was doing everything correctly. Greg reviewed every document to make sure it was correct.. At the same time he was explaining to us what they all meant.
Overall, Greg is very polite, courteous, accurate, punctual, responsive, most importantly he is very thourough. Greg is so good, that if I had the money I would have paid him twice the amount he charged. He is well worth every penny.

My fiancee and I just completed our first home purchase this week, and had hired Greg as our attorney after my fiancee's father had recommended him. I will say bluntly: we were disappointed.

Greg's communication was excessively poor. He refused to address many of my questions, and often ignored my requests. He delivered documents to us with insufficient time for proper review (sometimes less than 20 minutes), and pressured my fiancee for approvals without paying heed to my disapprovals and revisions. He actually stopped sending me documents, and I think he did this to avoid having to hear my comments. Instead he only sent to my fiancee, and again pressured for approvals. We actually almost ended up without a place to stay for almost a week due to an error he left in a document, which I never saw and my fiancee had no time to review before being coerced to approve.

When we addressed these concerns with Greg directly, he was combative, defensive, and made every excuse he could concoct to avoid accepting responsibility. Several times, he told me what I was saying was not true, and that certain things were never said, until I pulled up my email records and showed him exactly what happened. Even then, he refused to accept responsibility.

Severely disappointed. Couldn't believe the way I was treated, and was flat out shocked when he refused to accept responsibility for his actions. Still ended up with a home, and closing went smoothly, but overall, would not recommend.
