I sought assistance from Legal Aid Service of Collier County and was assigned an attorney. After initial contact, communication became inconsistent and ultimately ceased without resolution, leaving me without meaningful guidance or representation during an active matter.

I was also informed that a supervisor would follow up within two weeks. That follow-up did not occur. No explanation, update, or alternative contact was provided.

This is not a matter of expectations or communication style. It reflects a failure to meet basic professional obligations, including maintaining communication, honoring stated timelines, and ensuring continuity of representation.

Clients seeking legal assistance are often already in difficult situations. Being left without direction or follow-through does not simply delay help, it leaves the client navigating the matter alone.

At a minimum, clients should be able to rely on consistent communication and adherence to commitments. That standard was not met in this case.

am very disappointed with my experience at Legal Aid of Collier County.

I trusted this organization to assist me with my divorce and family law matters, but my case suffered from delays, lack of follow-up, and insufficient communication throughout the process. Despite my efforts to move the case forward, there was no meaningful progress, which ultimately left me in a vulnerable legal position.

The sudden closure of my case, after months of waiting, placed me at a serious disadvantage. While I understand that Legal Aid operates under certain restrictions, I believe there was a lack of transparency about those limitations and a failure to properly guide me during a critical time.

I hope this organization improves accountability, communication, and the level of support provided to clients facing urgent legal issues.
