My experience with Joseph was extremely disappointing.
I arrived early for my scheduled appointment, yet someone without an appointment was taken before me, causing my consultation to start late. The staff apologized multiple times for the delay.
Before the appointment, I completed a detailed intake form explaining exactly why I was seeking legal advice. Since I was required to pay a $250 consultation fee upfront, I reasonably expected that information to be reviewed beforehand. Instead, one of the first questions I was asked was, "What are you here for?"
As I attempted to explain my situation, Joseph repeatedly yawned and checked his phone during the consultation. I found this behavior dismissive and unprofessional. When someone is paying for your time and seeking legal guidance on an important matter, they deserve your full attention and respect.
The consultation lasted less than 20 minutes, and I was told I did not appear to have a viable legal case. I understand that not every situation warrants legal action, and I would have accepted that conclusion if I felt my concerns had been carefully considered. Instead, I left with the impression that the consultation was rushed and that very little effort had been made to understand my circumstances.
For those of us who work hard for our money, $250 is not an insignificant amount. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Joseph. If your matter is not a major, high-profile lawsuit, you may want to carefully consider whether this is the level of attention and professionalism you expect from legal counsel.
I left feeling that collecting the consultation fee was a higher priority than providing a meaningful consultation.
