“Lie on Top of Lie, Pressure, Manipulation, and an Inappropriate Settlement Push” I have renamed this organization to Lying Wrongs None Practicing Law Center. My experience with this organization was extremely upsetting, and parents deserve to know what they may be walking into. I came to them because my child had years of unmet needs and I needed real, committed legal support. Instead, what I encountered felt like a pattern of pressure, rushed timelines, manipulation, and a push toward a settlement that I personally felt was completely inappropriate — even borderline illegal in how it was presented to me. At multiple points, I was told things like: “This is a good offer,” “You won’t get anything better,” “You will lose everything at hearing,” “The judge will never grant what you're asking for,” “There’s no point pushing this any further.” These statements were made to pressure me into signing an offer that did NOT meet my son’s needs, and that I personally felt was completely inadequate and inappropriate considering the years of educational harm he suffered. They even brought in additional colleagues, as if adding more people to the conversation would increase the pressure and convince me to sign. That tactic did not work on me either — it only made their intentions clearer. The pressure was nonstop. I repeatedly expressed that the settlement felt inappropriate and harmful to my child’s long-term needs, yet I was met with more pressure, more discouragement, and more warnings designed to scare me away from exercising my right to see a judge. I was pushed to give up before I even had the chance to defend my child in front of someone neutral. I am also very aware of my rights under IDEA and FAPE, which only made it more obvious that they were not prepared to advocate at that level. There was no deep investigation, no meaningful strategy, no willingness to fight. Just pressure to settle — quickly. And the more I pushed back, the worse it felt. Instead of being treated like a parent fighting for her child, I felt treated like a case they wanted off their desk. It became painfully obvious, at least in my experience, that the priority was speed, not accuracy; closing cases and securing fees, not helping families; settlement signatures, not justice. When I was turned away, I felt willfully misled, rushed, minimized, unheard, and completely unsupported. My child deserved a real advocate — not someone steering me toward a “none” deal that ignored everything he had been through. Parents: please be cautious. Ask questions. Trust your instincts. Don’t let anyone push you into signing something that doesn’t reflect your child’s actual needs — especially when the timeline feels rushed, the pressure feels overwhelming, and the statements (lies) you’re being told don’t align with logic or law. This was MY experience, and families deserve transparency.
