I hired Nan for my first DUI in 2015 after my divorce. I was devastated but she assured me it would all work out and it did! Since then she has performed her magic for me on 4 more cases that all had amazing outcomes. The last one I should have done 1 year in jail. However, she did what she always does. WIN! No jail time🙏 She responds to my messages and questions immediately anytime day or night. That is so important when a client is stressing out and you don’t have to wait forever to hear back from your lawyer. She is laser focused and has more energy than anyone I know. I always refer her to my peeps. After all these years I consider her a friend and can confide in anything to her. I hope she never retires!

Nan is a superb, no-nonsense attorney. She defended a family member of ours for years and never failed to lay out complex legal issues for us in a clear, concise manner. She's responsive, diligent, smart - truly a consummate professional in and out of the courtroom. Maybe more importantly, she's also a kind, sympathetic person. She even made time to bring our sick dog to the animal hospital! Not for reward, she did it out of the goodness of her heart. Nan Bucknell is an attorney on another level. If you need an ally in your corner, there's no one better.

I consulted with Nan Bucknell regarding a personal legal matter and greatly appreciated her expert legal advice and guidance. She also provided a referral to a local attorney handling matters in the county where my case is pending. Her knowledge, professionalism, and willingness to assist were greatly appreciated. I highly recommend her legal services.

She took on a family members case, which amounted to 3 serious felonies; we felt at our wits end before deciding to hire her. We were at first unsure because of the fee and her directness, but both paid off! She knows the law, how the courts work, and the system in general. She won’t hold your hand, and she expects people to be responsible for their choices. Excellent attorney who is knowledgeable and passionate about her field and people.

DO NOT HIRE NAN BUCKNELL. RACIST, highly unprofessional and discriminatory. I paid Nan Bucknell $12,000, and it was a terrible experience. I eventually lost all trust, terminated her services, and hired a competent attorney to fix the situation. 1. Racist & Discriminatory Behavior: As an Asian immigrant, I was subjected to deeply offensive remarks. She openly referred to Black and Mexican immigrants as "low-quality people." Furthermore, during our case discussions, she frequently and condescendingly criticized my English grammar instead of focusing on my defense. I hired a lawyer, not an arrogant tutor. 2. Gross Incompetence & Blaming the Client: She failed to advise me on critical steps regarding my immigration status. I proactively introduced her to my immigration attorney via email, and she even replied to it. Yet, she completely failed to follow through or state what documentation was necessary. This resulted in missing materials at my first court appearance, delaying the entire case and severely threatening my H1B application timeline. To make matters worse, she then falsely blamed me, claiming she had told me when she never did. 3. Aggressive Communication & Public Embarrassment: Her tone in many of our interactions and emails was aggressive, rude, and dismissive. For example, inside the courtroom, she publicly raised her voice and aggressively repeated "What is your current address?" three times in a row without giving me a split second to answer. It was incredibly combative and deeply embarrassing in front of the court. 4. Unhelpful & Slow to Respond: It frequently took 2–3 days to get an email reply, if at all. She refused to provide any proactive support or guidance on gathering necessary third-party evidence, leaving me to handle it alone. My replacement lawyer later handled this easily. She was only prompt when collecting my money. Save your money and your sanity—find an attorney who respects clients and knows how to do their job.
