I hired Mark Zimmerman for a Chapter 7 bankruptcy through my ARAG legal plan. My coverage identified the attorney fees as paid in full and stated that I owed $0 in attorney fees. I understood that I was responsible for the filing fee. I met with Mr. Zimmerman once to discuss the case. ARAG paid his office for my case, and I paid the office $300 with the understanding that it was for the filing fee. Soon afterward, I began receiving bills for $1,200. The office gave me a list of information and documents to gather, but the form stated that it would not accept my paperwork until an initial deposit was paid. During a later phone conversation, Mr. Zimmerman told me that ARAG had not paid him enough to cover his fee. He said I needed to get ARAG to pay him more or he would not work on my case. This appeared inconsistent with the ARAG network agreement, which states that network attorneys accept the applicable fee-schedule payment as payment in full for covered services unless the client’s plan permits an additional attorney fee. His office later said it had applied my $300 toward attorney fees and that I still owed another $500. Other than meeting with me once, Mr. Zimmerman did no work on my bankruptcy case. His office never accepted my documents, so there was no bankruptcy paperwork for him to review or prepare. No petition or other paperwork was completed, and nothing was filed with the court. I later received a letter stating that my file was being closed because I had not moved forward within 60 days and that none of my money would be refunded. However, his office was refusing to accept my documents or move forward unless additional money was paid. ARAG paid his office, I paid the office $300, no work was performed on my bankruptcy beyond the initial meeting, nothing was filed, and the office has refused to refund my money.

My experience with Mr. Simmerman‘s office was great. He has experience workers. They were awesome. They were always there when I needed to ask a question they made it easier for me to not to not be able to stress while I was going through the bankruptcy I really want to think this office for everything they did. The women in there are the best of the best thank you.

I had a great experience with my case. Mr. Zimmerman explained the entire process in a way that was easy to understand. They were always responsive to my questions and handled everything efficiently. They really helped reduce my anxiety about the situation. my case went smoothly. I highly recommend them to anyone considering bankruptcy.

Mark is very down-to-earth, which makes the whole experience so much better. AND don't get me started on his staff!!!! The girls in the office are very knowledgeable, super kind, and extremely attentive. If you need to do bankruptcy, you need Mark!
