I spoke with Lisa on February 3, 2025, due to some miscommunication from my lawyer, Scott Gilman, regarding my slip and fall incident on September 6, 2022. Lisa kindly suggested that I write a letter stating that I had retained him and have it certified, which I did.
Afterward, I received a message from Mr. Gilman, letting me know he was on vacation and that I should call him on the 18th. However, when I called on that day, I did not receive a response. I reached out to Lisa again on the 21st and had a helpful conversation with her paralegal, Lynn. Lynn provided detailed information about the issues with my lawyer and explained that my case would expire by September 6, even if Mr. Gilman filed a claim. She also asked for my medical records.
After emailing the requested medical records, I did not receive a response. On March 4, I called Lisa to follow up. Lisa mentioned she was on another call but asked if she could call me back, which I agreed to, but unfortunately, I did not receive a return call.
I sincerely appreciate the information and assistance that Lisa and Lynn provided, and I am grateful for their help. However, I just want to express how unfortunate it is that there have been instances of miscommunication and lack of responsiveness from various lawyers and paralegals. It’s important to remember that clients and potential clients are often dealing with difficult situations, and timely communication and attention to their cases are crucial. I sincerely hope that these issues of miscommunication and non-responsiveness can be addressed, as clients risk losing their cases as a result. It would be interesting to see how these professionals would feel if they were in the clients' shoes.
