If I could give zero stars, I, Andrzej Senator hired attorney David Brandwein (Broward), who then brought in Gregory Starr (Palm Beach) — and the experience was a complete waste of tens of thousands of dollars. They dragged the case out, billed excessively, and delivered no meaningful progress.
Worse, they pushed him into agreeing to terms that made absolutely no sense — including paying for his ex-wife’s translator. Not one person stopped to say, “Why is this even our responsibility?” Instead, it felt like they were looking for ways to increase billable hours rather than protect their client.
After all the money and time lost, my boyfriend switched to a new attorney. The new lawyer resolved the case quickly and for a fraction of what these two charged — which tells you everything you need to know about the type of “strategy” we were paying for here.
And the kicker: During a joint call, one lawyer David, claimed he was “closely following the case,” but when asked about pursuing action involving a party in New York, he admitted he was “still looking for a New York attorney to handle it.” The other lawyer jumps in saying he is licensed in New York and can handle it. So which is it? Who was actually doing what? It was clear as day they weren’t aligned, organized, or even communicating with each other — yet still charging aggressively the entire time.
Bottom line:
This was not competent, strategic legal representation. It was disorganized, expensive, and ineffective. The only progress came when we left and hired someone else.
I would absolutely not recommend these attorneys to anyone who wants a lawyer that is proactive, transparent, or genuinely invested in their client’s best outcome.
