Richard, and his staff, are very nice and personable. He had a top notch investigator that did excellent work. Despite the exculpatory evidence uncovered before trial, and there was a ton of it, Richard was absolutely incompetent and clueless when trial rolled around. Didn't properly prepare for ANY witness at trial, even his OWN. His cross examination questions were "amateur hour" and completely worthless. There was/is no way to know before a trial how bad and pathetic Richard's performance during the trial would be. In one word, horrendous. Last, after trial I found 20 hours of police body worn camera video that would have flat out destroyed the prosecution's case, but Richard didn't review any of it, nor did he assign the BWC video to anyone else to review, so it never came in at trial. Not one second of it. Flat out incompetent. In short, if you hire Richard you will not win, no matter what the evidence is, because he is totally incompetent. As for Richard's claims that he has never had a "Bar complaint" made against him, two words- "Thomas Girardi". Giradi had 250+ complaints made to the Bar, not ONE was "sustained". So much for Bar complaints, besides, 90% of these complaints are kept confidential even if they are made. If you are planning on going to trial, you won't win with Richard.
