Olga is a very experienced attorney she had my best interest at heart and was very thorough with everything, Unfortunately, my divorce was painstakingly long but she had my back the whole time .

I had a prepaid $300 1 hour consultation with Ms. Koplik in mid-May, which lasted about 50 minutes. Ms. Koplik was interrupted and distracted throughout the call by her child, whom she was holding and taking care of. For a few minutes, someone else did take the child, but then the child returned. Only at the end of the call did Ms. Koplik say that despite the consultation, she was not available to help me, perhaps until sometime in August-at least 3 months out. She said that if I needed assistance, which of course was the point of the call, her office could provide a referral. I had one simple follow up question in print for her review, but was denied without another consultation and apparently a fee. And when I asked for the referral that she said her office, could provide, I was told to wait indefinitely until staff could speak with her. I sent an email pointing out that I am awaiting a referral and needed assistance now for the reasons raised during my consultation. I made clear that I would not have consulted with her if I had been advised that she would not be available for at least 3 months. I received within hours a response from Ms. Koplik claiming my message was disrespectful to staff, which it was not, denying in general my message and refusing to provide the promised referral. My correspondence to Ms. Koplick’s offices was carefully crafted to be factual and professional. My review here and above is taken verbatim from it. I am a retired partner from a large law firm licensed in 3 states with 35 years of daily experience preparing letters and communications always with an eye of being reviewed by a court or the State Bar ethics committee. I am confident that my communications to her office would be evaluated as professional and appropriate. However, by contrast, her response was disappointing. She failed to take any responsibility. A simply apology for the unprofessional inattentive handling of the consultation, failure to advise of her lack of availability beforehand and delivery of the promised referral would have been the minimum response. But that was not to be. I would not have consulted with her if I had been advised that she would not be available for at least 3 months. Her failure to disclose this before the consultation was intentionally misleading. I, like most clients, are specifically looking for an attorney that would be a good fit with the capacity to handle a case--soon. She failed to advise that she did not have capacity in the reasonably foreseeable future. Instead at the end, she promised referrals, which she then refused to provide necessitating my working through other avenues. In short, I was misled into paying a fee for which I received no value whatsoever. I am also concerned that there are others who have been treated in the same way and have suffered a loss of her high “consultation” fee, which initial fee, by the way, is higher than anyone else’s that I have encountered. Given Ms. Koplik’s responses to other negative reviews where she does not take responsibility and blames others, I wish to be clear I am real, and my review is not a “purported” plant by an adverse party.
