Matthew Famiglietti is a caring, thoughtful advocate and skilled attorney. He is smart and articulate, he knows how to bring opposing sides together at the same time willing to call people, companies and institution out to do the right thing. Willing and able to call a bluff and go to court to have the case heard. He was an absolute LIFE SAVER for me and my family.. For over a year Matthew fought diligently and unwavering to secure the rights for my child deserved. Thanks to Matthew we ultimately prevailed. In addition to securing our rights, he provided support, knowing how difficult the entire process was on the family. The world can be frustrating especially when people in power either by choice, neglect ,stupidity or out right discrimination chose not to do the right thing - under the law much less morally ! It is reassuring to have Matthew in your corner who's talent ,training and understanding, strength of will and clear thought process can help you achieve what you deserve.

With professionalism, wisdom and compassion, Matt and his team brought peace of mind for our family during one our roughest periods.

Battling a terminal illness and trying to navigate a social security system (with existential challenges of its own) can be overwhelming. From the beginning, Matt showed great understanding of my situation and helped keep us focused ...

When complications arose on the government side, Matt knew who to contact and how to make sure everyone got what was needed. He was also remarkable at keeping us calm and positive. No easy task.

My approval actually came earlier than expected - providing a much needed sigh of relief.

I recommend Matt and his firm to anyone seeking help with their social security claims. They care and they are top notch at what they do.

Matthew and his staff demonstrated the utmost concern and professionalism regarding my circumstances and case. Matthew's knowledge reflected his experience and legal expertise and I am so glad that I selected him as my legal counsel. Even when we shared differences in opinion, he listened and worked within my level of comfort to ensure, to the best of his ability, my desired outcome. Thank you Matthew and team.

Mr. Matt worked with my daughter and I in March of this year due to a matter at her middle school. He was prompt, professional and considerate of our time and situation. He helped to quickly resolve the matter and pretty much stayed on the schools neck to ensure they were upholding the law and ceased discriminating against her based on her disability.

I came to Mr. Famiglietti with real hope—both for his legal expertise and because, as someone who is also disabled, I believed he would understand the emotional and systemic challenges I’m facing. Unfortunately, the consultation left me feeling dismissed and disrespected.

I was completely open with him—honest about where I could have done better and transparent about how I’d been wronged. This situation has been emotionally devastating and brought me to tears during our call. He cautioned me not to be “too emotional,” and when I tried to express the weight of what I’ve been carrying, he said: “I’m not a priest or a therapist.”

He asked how much I make and told me, as a teacher, I couldn’t afford his services—without any real conversation about creative solutions. He told me flatly it would take 25 hours to go through 22 emails. I explained that my family was willing to support me financially if he believed in the strength of the case. That was ignored. Every cold statement was stamped with, “I just want to be honest.”

I expected compassion and clarity. What I experienced was deflection, tone-policing, and transactional coldness. I’m sharing this for others seeking trauma-informed, disability-competent legal support. Be prepared—it may not be what you expect.

That said—if you are an attorney who truly advocates for disabled clients, please feel free to contact me.
