Law Office of Karen G. Muir

Karen can be a very unpleasant woman, every once in awhile you might get a glimpse of humanity but its pretty rare after you give her a deposit. She seems to win more by being well known and well connected than worrying about her clients or their cases or even the law. She straight up refused to file an extremely important motion regarding jurisdiction under UCCJEA guidelines for several moths. I memorized this whole document and was 100% certain it applied to my case "Which it did" After months of back and forth and Karen dragging things out, I filled a motion myself to move jurisdiction. Shortly after she mislead me and filled a different motion leaving me under the impression she had finally come around and help me. Instead she fille to have only part of my case moved to Florida but continued to insist that custody had to be kept in PA. I told her to do her damn job and file the motion for venue like I haw been asking it just quit so I can She did quit but not until tbh the day before an important hearing. She also witheld my file until the nightbefore the hearing and sabotaged my ability to prepare. I ended up going pro se during that hearing totally unprepared and still got a favorable outcome. I did more done in an 8 bour hearing than Karen had all the moths prior. After that, I found another local attorney who is great to work with and got the motion that Karen refused to file and quit over granted very quickly and jurisdiction moved. Karen wasted months of my life, cost my tens of thousands dollar in various way, causued unreasonable stress and ultimately harmed my family significantly. All simply by being stubborn, rude, egotistical and straight up refusing to do her job. I am currently asking for a full refund and hopefully she apologizes and issues the money she took from me. Even that would still not make up for the finacial losses she is directly responsible for, all all, pain and suffering that could have been avoided if she had just listened to her customer and actually done her job and the damages are staggering. I heard she used to be a great attorney but lately all I hear is negative about her and I personally agree after what she put and my kids me tough for no apparent reason. Perhaps its time for her to retire before she hurts anyone else's case and family like she did mine. Or perhaps this misconduct should be investigated
