On 8/26/25 I retained Ellis Baltz. I have had one in person meeting with Ellis and several phone calls with Ellis. The phone calls consisted mainly of me asking for an update and him telling me why nothing was done (he was sick, he had a big case he was just finishing, etc). I did not receive monthly statements of my retainer account and since nothing was happening I assumed no billing had occurred. When I finally asked for a full accounting of my retainer account, I had been billed approximately $3,000 and had absolutely nothing to show for it. I then asked for the documents that Ellis had prepared as referenced on the statements and was provided with basic templates containing vague and frankly incorrect information. I have asked for the remainder of my retainer to be refunded and continue to get the runaround. I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with this firm. My experience has been beyond bad.
