I would like to share my experience in a calm and objective manner, without appearing to be reacting solely to the outcome of my case. While I understand that every case is different, I strongly caution others to exercise due diligence when considering representation by Mr. Dunlap’s law firm.

Based on my experience, individuals such as Mr. Dunlap and Mr. Pete Grumbles, Disability Representative and Business Accounts Manager, engaged in conduct that raised serious concerns. In my view, their actions functioned as a barrier to my access to critical information related to my claim. I believe there were instances where communications and actions occurred without my knowledge or consent, which appeared to align more closely with the interests of the insurance company than with my own. Additionally, I discovered documentation that appears to contain my name on a power of attorney form that I do not recall authorizing or signing. This raises significant concerns regarding the authenticity of that document and the manner in which authority was obtained.

I also obtained correspondence in which Mr. Grumbles requested my complete claim file from a representative, stating:
“Our client has asked for his entire claim file with NY Life, specifically when he first applied for disability. Could you send that to me so I can deliver it to him?”

However, when I later attempted to access my file, I encountered resistance, including an incident in which law enforcement was contacted. Despite this, I was ultimately able to obtain information that I believe had not been fully disclosed to me.

As a result of these events, I have serious concerns that fiduciary and ethical obligations may not have been upheld. I believe these actions contributed to significant financial harm and hardship.

Accordingly, I intend to file a formal complaint with the appropriate state regulatory board in Tennessee. I am also exploring potential legal remedies, including the possibility of pursuing further action based on evidence suggesting that there may have been coordination to deny benefits to which I was entitled.
