This review is based on my personal experience with attorney Joanne Yi.

I believe a lawyer should protect their client’s interests and provide clear guidance throughout the legal process. However, communication with Joanne Yi was difficult—my questions often went unanswered, and the case experienced repeated delays. Despite the urgency of my situation, it felt as though financial gain was prioritized over client care.

When I requested a refund of the retainer, I was told it could only be issued as a “credit,” and I later received an additional invoice, which added to the financial strain.

Rather than working collaboratively to find solutions, the approach felt one-sided. This raised concerns for me about her sense of responsibility and professional ethics.

For someone going through emotional and financial difficulties, this experience was very disappointing. I do not recommend Joanne Yi, and I hope this review serves as helpful information for others considering her services.

Wonderful attorney and a great human being. Joanne pays attention to details in her profession. Her humanity shines even in the worst of situations. It's good to know that there are people who really care.
