Jennifer was recommended to me by a trusted colleague of a friend who is also an attorney, and I’m very grateful I found her. I was initially hesitant about the consultation fee because I did not have much experience with legal matters, but she quickly stood out as extremely knowledgeable, professional, and not at all pushy.

She is clearly very smart, highly organized, and takes her work seriously. She set expectations clearly from the beginning, including how much material she would review before a consultation, and I could tell she truly read and digested what I sent her beforehand. I would much rather have that kind of clarity and follow-through than vague promises.

I also consulted with another attorney to explore my options, and that experience made me appreciate Jennifer even more. Even though he did not set a page limit, it seemed clear that he had only skimmed the materials I sent, and the consultation felt more sales-driven. Jennifer, on the other hand, was prepared, practical, and genuinely focused on helping me, which is why I went back to her.

She also understood how expensive it can be to hire an attorney and never pushed unnecessary services. Instead, she was honest about when I could handle things on my own and even suggested practical options like using her template instead of paying her to draft everything for me.

I ended up relying on her for consultations and guidance throughout the process while doing much of the work myself. With her help, I was able to get a protection order granted, and the court also ruled that the harasser had to pay my attorney’s fees. I highly recommend her. Thank you Jennifer!

I had a pretty poor experience in my consultation with Jennifer, especially relative to another firm that I will be retaining. First, she narrowly engaged on only the ~20 page pre-read limit she imposes (not enough to capture most individual case documents) to then inform her advice. Despite being informed before the consultation that there was a lot of context that needed to be discussed outside those documents, she didn't seem at all interested in understanding the full picture to make more insightful strategic advice and instead jumped right into opining. She gave a generic recommendation on resolution approach that depended on multiple parties' discretion and was thus a nondeterministic path, but didn't offer any strategic advice for how to approach things (especially based on her prior case experience) if things didn't play out the way she was advising. Can be summarized in terms of 'lack of caring', which when contrasted against others' reviews makes me question how high of a bar she holds on her service relative to her biases/how she feels about a case. Lastly, her command on basic court facts lacking. She believed something to be impossible that in fact was possible and how I came prepared to the consultation (upon free advice from the legal assistant at another firm). Overall, it seems she made up her mind on the case before the consultation began and gave the bare minimum during it to collect her fee. The email follow-up provided no useful insights or materials that couldn't be found online with more than 10 minutes of research.
