⭐️ 1 Star — Do Not Go Here

I had a terrible experience with this office, specifically with the paralegal, Hillary.

I hired this firm in April 2025 for what should have been a simple child support modification. I chose them because I had worked with George before and had a good experience. This time was completely different.

There was zero communication from Hillary. She did not return my calls or emails, and I had to go through the front desk just to try to get any kind of response.

Even worse, I was given false information about my case. Hillary told me directly that the other party had been served on December 8th. That was not true. She fabricated stories about why my case was taking so long and lied to my face about what was happening.

After the third court date was canceled, I went to the courthouse myself. I was told there were no open cases in my name and that no paperwork had ever been filed. Despite completing all required documents and providing my financial information, nothing was submitted. I was still being given supposed “court dates,” even though there was no case on file.

After nearly a year of delays, no communication, and being misled, I withdrew from their services in March 2026.

I don’t know if George is aware of what is going on, but my experience was unacceptable. I will be reporting this office to the State Bar and the Better Business Bureau.

Do not go here. Proceed with extreme caution

I had an excellent experience working with Attorney George Horgan and his paralegal, Hillary, during a very serious and sensitive matter involving the safety of myself and my daughter.

From the beginning, George and his team were professional, prepared, and persistent. They provided me with everything I needed to build a strong case and took the time to walk me through each step of the process so I understood what to expect. Their attention to detail and knowledge of the law made a significant difference in the outcome of my case.

Hillary was especially responsive and supportive. I had multiple phone calls and meetings with her, and she always answered my questions promptly, professionally, and thoroughly. Communication was consistent, timely, and reassuring throughout the entire process.

Because of their hard work and dedication, I was able to successfully obtain a restraining order, which was critical for the safety and well-being of both me and my child. I truly felt supported and advocated for the entire time.

I am very grateful for the level of care, professionalism, and commitment shown by George Horgan and his team. I would highly recommend this office to anyone needing strong, reliable legal representation especially in cases where safety and protection are a priority.

My name is Brandon Pacheco, and I’m writing this from the perspective of a parent who dealt directly with this attorney as opposing counsel, not as a client.

In my case, this lawyer failed to properly handle critical procedural issues that have had long-lasting consequences for normal parenting. Most notably, there was no Judgment of Parentage submitted, yet custody and visitation were funneled under a Domestic Violence Restraining Order (DVRO) instead of being established through the appropriate parentage and custody framework. That procedural choice created unnecessary restrictions and complications around basic parenting time that should never have existed in the first place.
Whether through oversight or strategy, failing to secure a proper judgment before routing custody through a DVRO made routine co-parenting far more difficult and prolonged conflict that could have been avoided with competent procedural handling.

Experiences like this are exactly why I founded Pacheco Court Prep. Our work exists to help parents—mothers and fathers—who are left dealing with the fallout when attorneys miss procedural fundamentals or fail to protect their client’s long-term parenting rights. We focus on helping self-represented parents understand court structure, filings, and process so they aren’t trapped by mistakes that should never have happened.

I hope this review encourages greater attention to procedural accuracy, especially in family law cases where children and parent-child relationships are directly impacted.
