Amazing, was able to get me out quick and easy!

So yesterday afternoon, Heather officially adopted Zoe and I’ll be honest. I was a big baby the whole time and I couldn’t stop crying. I was just so happy and so grateful.
Zoe followed Heather’s lead of course and somehow held it together, but you could see it in her eyes. She was ready, she knew what this day meant. When we walked into that courtroom and heard the judge make it official, I felt years of pain lift right off our shoulders. Update:
After trying for over 14 months with this attorney as my public’s defense in a harassment case, it has gone absolutely awry. David shows 0 confidence when it comes to trial. He kept pushing me over and over to take a plea when I am innocent and not only that HE IS MY ATTORNEY. Yet he sounds like the prosecutor. He kept telling me “you did it. You did it.” This is a defendant attorney telling you this. Every attorney even tho they know their defendant did something or not, they’re on your side. He had 0 prep for trial and only kept pushing me for plea knowing 100% we can win. Again he keeps telling his own client “you did it. You did it”

Did I hire the prosecutor to just basically convict me? He literally told me “I will go on record saying I advise against this trial” ON TRIAL. Your own lawyer telling the whole world and the jury as his first words “we are going to trial against my will” This is beyond absurd and total disappointment. The new public defender is 180%. She already found a way to most likely invalidate prosecutors evidence against me. Yet David does the 100% opposite. The prosecutor have fake evidence from the “alleged victim” and there is 0 verification for the texts or evidence. Yet again my own lawyer says “you did it” WOOOW! I MEAN WOOW! Might as well just take the guilty plea and walk out. Me representing myself would be 1000% better.

I present him with solid evidence that will 100% throw out prosecutors evidence and yet he literally doesn’t take the evidence I present but goes on to say the fake evidence prosecutor has is more valid???

My final word: he put on a show at the beginning of our trial resets. Now today he completely flip flops and also brings an assistant that isn’t aware of anything. He is asking her for advice on trial?? David has 0 experience as a criminal attorney for trial. He will only and only make you get a plea. Also he is a family attorney. I don’t know why the court even appoints him for criminal cases. This is a harassment misdemeanor case which is against absurd to literally say you’re guilty without even trial. My own lawyer telling me “yup you did it. Jury is gonna see the same thing”

Do yourself a huge favor and never use him for any criminal cases. It seems his only expertise (not even sure of that) is family law. But again not sure even that’s true.

There are tons of free public defenders. He is a private attorney assigned to cases that defendants can’t afford. If you can’t afford an attorney make sure to ask the judge for a public defender that’s on the Bexar County payroll. Those are the best.
